How much are your classes?

Your first week of classes are free! We offer multiple weekly classes per month for £39. Family and friends discounts are also available. Please contact us for more details.

Do you offer a free trial?

Yes, we offer a week’s free trial classes for new members. It’s a great opportunity to experience our teaching style and inclusive community with no pressure to commit. Unlike some martial arts clubs, we do not tie you into any contracts or fixed terms, you’re free to decide if and when you’d like to continue afterwards. You can sign up by completing our online form: sign up form. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to contact us directly.

Where can I park?

We recommend using the Elwick Place car park just down the road, as this is free after 3 pm, it is about a 3 min walk from the dojo. There is also drop off only space outside the dojo.

What should I wear?

For your initial sessions, comfortable sportswear such as a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms, shorts or leggings are fine. Once you’ve decided to continue, you will receive a karate gi (uniform) with your welcome pack which also includes, your annual insurance, club badge (for your gi), access to online learning resources, license and grading book.

What should I bring?

Please bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class. If you have any medical conditions or require medication (like an inhaler), ensure it’s accessible and inform the instructor beforehand.

I have no experience in martial arts. Is that okay?

Absolutely! Our classes cater to all abilities, from complete beginners to experienced martial artists. Our supportive environment ensures everyone progresses at their own pace.

Do you hold gradings and competitions?

Yes, we conduct in-house gradings, allowing students to progress without the need to travel to external assessments. We also support and encourage participation in competitions, though there’s no pressure to compete. Our goal is to one day run and host our own competition!

Can I train with my family?

Yes, of course, we actively encourage this! Many of our members train alongside siblings, parents, or even grandparents. It’s a wonderful way to bond and support each other’s growth. We do a family and friends discount, please contact us for more details.
